Ingredients

Instructions

  • Add the oat cream or soy cream, cocoa powder, date syrup, tahini (or nut butter), and a pinch of salt to a small saucepan.
  • Place the saucepan over low to medium heat and stir continuously with a spoon or small whisk.
  • Let the sauce warm gently for 2–3 minutes, stirring until the cocoa powder dissolves completely and the texture becomes smooth and glossy.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add 1 tablespoon of plant-based milk at a time until it reaches your preferred consistency.
Taste the sauce and add a little more date syrup for sweetness or a pinch of salt to enhance the chocolate flavor.
  • Remove from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes. The sauce will naturally thicken as it cools.
  • Use immediately as a topping, or transfer to a jar and store in the refrigerator.

Notes

Storage Note:
Store the vegan chocolate sauce in an airtight container or jar in the refrigerator for up to 4–5 days. The sauce will thicken as it cools; to use it again, warm it gently over low heat or in short microwave intervals, adding a small splash of plant-based milk if needed to restore a smooth, pourable texture.
